How a Giveaway Works
Nexus posts the giveaway as an embed with a Join Giveaway button in the selected channel. Each member can join once. When the giveaway ends, Nexus automatically draws random winners, adds them to the embed and congratulates them with a mention in the channel. Cancelled giveaways are marked in red and end without winners.
Required Bot Permissions
For Nexus to post and draw giveaways, the bot's role needs the following Discord permissions in the giveaway channel:
View Channel: Basic requirement to reach the channel and to draw the giveaway later.
Send Messages & Embed Links: Posts the giveaway embed and announces the winners.
Read Message History: Finds the giveaway message again at the end so it can add the winners or mark it as cancelled.
