Stream-Alerts

Step-by-Step Guide: Set up live notifications for your Discord server, link multiple streams (Kick & Twitch), and configure role pings.

💡 Multi-Streaming Feature: Do you stream simultaneously across Kick and Twitch? Link both accounts in the Web Dashboard. Nexus automatically merges both live events into a single embed instead of flooding your server with duplicate notifications.

Method 1: Setup via Dashboard (Recommended)

  1. Open the Nexus Dashboard and select your Discord server.

  2. Navigate to Stream Alerts in the sidebar menu.

  3. Click Add New Alert, select your platform (Twitch, Kick, or YouTube), and enter the streamer's username.

  4. Choose the target text channel and customize your notification message if desired.

Multi-Streaming: Linking Channels (Twitch + Kick)

Do you stream simultaneously across two platforms (like Twitch and Kick)? Nexus prevents annoying duplicate pings by automatically bundling your broadcast into a single merged embed.

  1. Make sure you have already added both channels (e.g., your Twitch and Kick accounts) individually under Stream Alerts.

  2. Scroll down to Verknüpfungen (Linked Channels) and click + Verknüpfung erstellen (+ Link Channels).

  3. Select your two profiles and confirm the link.

As soon as you go live on both platforms, Nexus posts a single merged announcement. You can unlink them at any time with a single click on Trennen (Unlink).

Method 2: Setup Directly in Discord Chat

If you prefer configuring alerts without opening the dashboard, members with Manage Server permissions can set them up via chat commands:

  1. Type /alert_add in any channel and select both the platform and destination channel.

  2. In the pop-up modal, enter the creator's channel name or link along with your announcement text.

Configuring Role Mentions

Use /alert_role or the roles section in the dashboard to set up alerts mentions:

  • Global: A single role (e.g., @Stream-Alerts) is pinged whenever any linked creator goes live.

  • Platform-Specific: Separate roles by platform (e.g., @Kick-Alerts and @Twitch-Alerts) so community members only get notified for platforms they actually watch.
